riporto di seguito gli elementi significativi riguardanti la moneta di figura:

Sesterzio1, zecca di Roma, 119-122 d. C., RIC II 624 (pag. 288), Cohen II 142 (pag. 33), indice di rarità "C"

Descrizione sommaria (sono indicate in rosso le parti della leggenda usurate o comunque non più leggibili):

R. FELICITAS AVGVST3. La Felicitas, drappeggiata, stante a sinistra, sorregge con la mano destra un caduceo e con la sinistra una cornucopia. S C4 a sinistra e a destra nel campo. Bordo perlinato.

Concludo osservando che le caratteristiche generali e di stile della moneta non si discostano da quelle delle monete d'epoca di pari tipologia. Mancano le caratteristiche fisiche e non è possibile un esame comparativo con le monete autentiche del periodo. Con una foto così la moneta vale, a mio avviso, non più di una ventina di euro.

In assenza delle caratteristiche fisiche della moneta in esame non sarà possibile svolgere un esame comparativo con le monete autentiche del periodo reperite nel web, né stabilire con certezza se la moneta sia effettivamente un sesterzio.

Per una sintesi biografica sull'imperatore Traiano rimando alla voce relativa di Wikipedia.
(3) FELICITAS AVGVST (FELICITAS AVGVSTi). Sostiene BMC (pag. lxxiii), con riferimento aTraiano che la personificazione rappresentata sul rovescio della moneta in esame, la Felicitas, sia la virtù particolare del grande Augusto, passata in dote ai suoi successori. Essa simboleggia, non tanto una condizione dello spirito quanto il potere stesso della felicità. In molti contesti la Felicitas è il complemento della Virtus; Felicitas e Virtus rappresentano i valori essenziali di un grande condottiero che deve combinare in sé la vera forza del coraggio maschile con il felice dono della fortuna. Attributi della Felicitas sono la cornucopia, simbolo della ricchezza e il cadùceo o caducèo, simbolo di pace e prosperità. Il caduceo era anche attributo di Mercurio, il dio del commercio, che lo aveva ricevuto in dono da Apollo a cui aveva restituito la lira. Dunque la Felicitas, virtù intrinseca dell'imperatore, è fonte di pace e prosperità, presupposti indispensabili per lo sviluppo degli scambi e del commercio.
(4) S C (Senatus Consulto, per decreto del Senato). Tra le novità introdotte da Augusto nella monetazione è da ricordare il conferimento al Senato della responsabilità delle emissioni monetali in bronzo; ogni emissione ènea riportava perciò sul rovescio la sigla SC. La monetazione in oro e argento, che era priva della sigla SC, rientrava nella competenza diretta dell'imperatore.
